Spring-Time

This is not a food post.

The late winter weather has been so warm with temperatures around 23-25 degrees. This unseasonably warm weather has resulted in the flowers blooming earlier than expected. Here are some pics from my garden.

Here are some herbs in our garden, ones that have survived the winter. Hopefully the chilli plants, basil and lemon thyme will grow again soon. There is also sage in our garden, forgot to take a photo. It's great to have a herb garden, just a quick snip when we need some herbs.

Rosemary(can u see the serai/lemon grass in the background?)

Flat-leaf parsley

Curry leaves (growing so well now that we've put in the ground)

Common mint (essential for assam and curry laksa)

  6. Chin Nee: No green fingers.. :( lucky the plants are easy to maintain. Just need water and the occasional fertilizer. These tasks have been delegated to my two girls :)

  9. Precious: A$40 for a pot of curry leaves plant is too pricey. I was lucky to be given mine from a Msian friend. Maybe your cili padi supplier may know someone who has a plant. It can grow from an off-shoot. If you're in Sydney, I could give you some.
