I read about this unassuming Thai restaurant located in Marrickville
on NQN's blog. The owners came from the
Spice I Am restaurant, a famous Thai eatery in Sydney. We decided to try this place last Sunday. I like the food and the service. It's not as busy as Spice I Am, it's also a lot more spacious, with proper chairs and tables. The food is cooked in a similar style to Spice I Am, but the prices are slightly lower.
We started with an entree of curry puffs.

Girls love the curry puffs. A bit on the sweet side for me. |
Here's the mains:

Stir-Fried Morning Glory (aka Kangkung or water convolvulus) |
|
Our two girls shared the Lard Na (similar to the "Sar Hor Fun") |

Oh ya, give me curry puffs anytime. The puffs at this Marrickville place remind me more of those made in Penang, away fromthe other varieties we normally come across in Aus. The duck with tamarind is an interesting combination.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this, we ate at a Thai restaurant this week in newtown which was fairly ordinary and a friend of mine recommended let's eat.. that's how I found this useful post!
