Lunchbox Idea #2 - Ham and Cheese Pastry

This is an easy lunchbox idea to put together. I assemble the pastry parcels the night before and placed in the fridge.
All I had to do the next morning - brush the egg wash and bake in the oven for 20 minutes at moderate heat (140-160C).

Puff Pastry
Grated cheese
Ham
Egg yolk, beaten with a pinch of salt
  1. Cut the pastry sheet into 4 squares.
  2. Place the grated cheese and ham in the centre.
  3. Fold the four corners into the centre.
  4. Place the pastries on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Put the tray into the fridge overnight or for 10 minutes (whilst oven is warming up).
  5. Brush with egg wash and place the tray into the hot oven. Bake for 20 minutes at 140-160C.

  2. Cyn: you could also make these as after-school snacks. With the mornings, I hv to be organised and wake up a bit early, but it can be done.
