Sydney has had record levels of rain in the last three days. It has been heavy torrential rain since Thursday and it will not stop till tomorrow or Monday. According to the metrologists, this is the La Nina effect.
Various parts of NSW state are flooded - Cooma, Goulburn, Bourke, Richmond and other towns near the Hawkesbury River.
Last night, Warragamba Dam, Sydney's main drinking water source located west of Sydney reached 100% and burst its gates for the 1st time in 14 years. It must have been a spectacular site to see, pity it was too far for us to travel in this wet weather.
After a wet and cool summer, it looks like autumn will also be another wet and cool season. Had to pull out the long sleeve tops and jeans today, as it was a cold 19C.
